Kingfall is a handwritten medieval typeface sketched with a flat calligraphic nib. Its design is built on the contrast between small condensed lowercases and large decorative uppercases that can also function as initials.
The shape of the letters has numerous rough bends and hard edges, as if the royal blacksmith took a strip of iron and shaped it with a hammer. At the same time, the direction of strokes avoids geometric rectilinearity, thereby adding a human touch to the letterform. The font family is represented by two optical sizes: high contrast “Blessed” for large text size, and medium contrast “Dark” for small text size.
